This is a multimedia academic online website that publish articles from various authors on the topic – journalism cultures, with emphasis on the African continent. The site was established to create a platform for established and emerging scholars in the communication field to publish their researched articles, comments and reviews. Scholars and writers interested in the study of journalism cultures in Africa send in their contributions which is peer reviewed and edited before posting.

The administrators encourage every scholar interested in research on the current trends in journalism on the African continent to participate. Contributors are to write their articles on a voluntary basis, and will be hosted here, as a means to help students, academic staff and other people to benefit from their work.

We encourage debates, exchange of ideas, research cooperations and sharing of materials among people. This project is  currently supported by the “Worlds of Journalism Study (WJS)” founded to regularly assess the state of journalism throughout the world.
